Chloe (18) and Taylor (20), better known as Chasing Lovely, are a sister duo hailing from Minneapolis, MN.In March 2011, Taylor started blogging under the name Chasing Lovely, after taking a liking to the definition of "lovely" in the dictionary: beauty that appeals to the heart or mind as well as to the eye. The lifestyle blog, dedicated to "chasing lovely and documenting it," focuses heavily on the fashion aspect.
"Essentially, I wanted to create a virtual inspiration board," Taylor remarked, "fusing two of my passions: fashion and writing." She brought the idea to Chloe, and the rest is history. Together, the two take turns posting pictures of their outfits—along with personal thoughts—to the blog.
Occasionally, the girls recruit guests to share their style. "I would say we're influenced more by everyday people and their fashion choices than celebrities in magazines," Chloe noted, "We're total Pinterest junkies! It's cool how the internet has opened up a pool of collective creativity."
Before the blog was even an idea, another venture had been brewing. Chloe was posting covers to YouTube, and Taylor had begun writing songs. The pair were playing out live, performing at open mics, their high school bonfire and talent show. Things really began to click, and it wasn't long before music evolved from a hobby into a potential career path. After relocating to Music City in July 2011, the duo officially decided to go by Chasing Lovely the following November. They feel the meaning behind the name speaks to what they're trying to do with their music.
The sisters are currently based out of Nashville, TN, and have taken the year off school to pursue their dream of making music a career. They've made it a priority to post to this blog as their schedules allows.
